The IRRI team includes personnel with operational management expertise at a senior level, including public sector waste management; business management and creation expertise from the private sector, including incubation and SME management; and academic capability.

Ewan Ramsay - Managing Director

Ewan is a highly experienced and adaptable Project Manager and Consultant with over 20 years’ experience following an earlier career in Banking and private equity investment. His experience covers a range of sectors including water resources, wastewater, water industry investment, renewable energy, technology innovation, community development and International Development, working in a range of international markets and conditions from mainland Europe and North America to remote and rural markets such as Scandinavia (including the Arctic Circle) and Eastern Africa. He has experience in working with a range of academic and private sector partners including technology innovation partners and providers and has the ability to work independently or as part of a wider team. Ewan’s key skills in project management and market analysis with a particular focus on SME Innovation and development, having worked with both the public and private sector within a range of settings and circumstances. Ewan is also a Trustee of Renew N’Able Malawi and has led IRRI’s activities in Malawi since 2012.

Clare Fleming - Company Secretary

Clare is a highly experienced office administrator who provides project and administrative support to IRRI in the office and across all of our live projects. She is a highly valued member of the team and has been supporting Ewan and the team for the past three years.
